Fees & Interest

Are the commissions lower at MEXEM compared to IBKR?

Under EU regulation (PRIIPs/KID requirements), retail investors are not permitted to trade U.S.-domiciled ETFs. Instead, European investors can trade UCITS-compliant European ETFs, which often provide exposure similar to U.S. ETFs.

European ETFs are traded like shares and therefore follow MEXEM’s stock commission structure, not a separate ETF fee model.

For European-listed shares and ETFs, MEXEM applies:

Commission: 0.06% of the trade value
Minimum commission: EUR 1 per order

Fees are calculated per order, based on the total invested value, and may be subject to applicable exchange and regulatory costs.

All commission details are published in the Fees section of the MEXEM website and are subject to change.
