Can I change the account type, from individual to joint?

No, you cannot but you can create an additional account in order to able another person to handle the account.

Here the instructions:
1. Login in the portal client  
2. click on "welcome "your name""
3. click on "settings"
4. click on "users and access rights"
5. Click on the symbol "+" and follow the instructions.
